Update, November 3, 2026: the Amazon listing now shows $149.99 for a new unit ("Buy New"), not $99.99. The $99.99 price reported on October 23 is not live as of this check. That matches Digital Citizen's note that $149.99 is the regular price and that the lower price was tied to Prime members. We can't tell whether $99.99 will return, so the sections below describe the October report as it stood.
Here is what we could and couldn't verify. The $99.99 price comes from a PC Guide deal post (page marked "Last Updated on October 23, 2026"), not from a live Amazon check. We could not open the Amazon listing or the price-history charts, and we could not find an official AOC list price. So the frontmatter shows no discount: BlitzRig won't print a percentage off a number it can't source.
The deal: the AOC C27G4H2 is a 27-inch, 1920x1080, 1500R curved VA gaming monitor rated at 200Hz. PC Guide says $99.99 is its best price ever on Amazon, citing CamelCamelCamel, and describes it as "33% off" list. PC Guide doesn't state the list price; that math implies roughly $149 (an estimate). Digital Citizen separately reports a $149.99 regular price and says the $99.99 is for Prime members. If that holds, you may need Prime to get it.
What the price history does and doesn't show: We couldn't read the CamelCamelCamel chart PC Guide cites. Two other data points are consistent with "$99.99 is low" but don't prove it. A Slickdeals post dated July 26, 2026 listed the same model at $109.99. A CamelCamelCamel page for a listing under a different ASIN showed $129.99 with no date. Treat "record low" as PC Guide's claim, not something we've confirmed.
Specs, with caveats: PC Guide and retailer listings agree on VA, 3500:1 contrast, one DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0, and a 3-year warranty. Response time is where sources disagree (PC Guide gives both 0.03ms and 0.3ms), so we're not quoting one for this model. AOC's own US page covers a sibling, the C27G4HX2, and lists 0.3ms MPRT with 1ms typical GtG and 7ms GtG. We can't confirm the two models share a panel tune.
Before you buy:
- VA panels have narrower viewing angles than IPS, so sit centered.
- 1080p at 27 inches works out to about 82 PPI (our own arithmetic from the resolution and diagonal), which is soft up close. That's a trade-off at this price, not a flaw.
- It's a budget panel. For contrast, the ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM review covers a 1440p OLED monitor in a much higher price tier. If you play competitive shooters, our competitive FPS desk setup shows where a screen fits in a bigger budget.
- Prices change often. Check the Amazon page yourself before buying; the October figures reflect reporting as of October 23, 2026, and the $149.99 figure is the listing as of November 3, 2026.
Bottom line: at $149.99 this is a regular-price budget monitor, not a deal. The $99.99 price was reported on October 23 and was not on the listing on November 3. If you want it, waiting is reasonable: Black Friday is November 27, but we have no report of a planned price cut, and $99.99 is the number to beat. Check the Amazon page yourself before buying.
