I keep a running line on the Stream Deck MK.2 in my spreadsheet because it's one of the most-gifted, most-reviewed pieces of desk gear I cover, and it moves around more than people assume for something that basically never changes hardware. I want to be straight with you up front: $129.99 against its $149.99 list price is a real, verifiable discount right now on Amazon — not a manufactured strike-through. But it's also not the deal it could be.

Here's what my sheet actually shows. Elgato's official price for the MK.2 has sat at $149.99 for a long time now — that part's stable. Against that, $129.99 is a genuine 13% off. But this thing has a documented history of going lower, and not as some one-off fluke: it hit roughly $109.99–$110 during Prime Day 2025 and again around Black Friday last November, two separate, well-covered events. More recently, 9to5Toys flagged it at $120 back in late June of this year. So the honest trendline is: $110 low, $120 a few months ago, $129.99 now. Prices have been drifting back up, not down, heading into the back half of the year.

That doesn't make $129.99 fake or bad — it's genuinely under list, and if you're putting together a streaming setup that needs macro keys, OBS scene switching, or Twitch/YouTube triggers today, you're not overpaying. But if you can wait, history says Black Friday and next year's Prime Day are when this thing actually gets cheap, and I'd bet on it happening again.

A few things to check before you click buy: make sure you're buying the MK.2 specifically (not the smaller 8-key Neo or the pricier Stream Deck +), confirm the listing is "Sold by Amazon" rather than a third-party reseller charging list price with a coupon gimmick, and note that black and white colorways occasionally price slightly differently. No bundle traps here — it's just the device, stand, and USB-C cable, same as retail.

Bottom line: Buy now only if you need it for a stream or setup this week — otherwise hold out for Black Friday, where this exact unit has a real track record of dropping toward $110.
